I love Wednesday mornings. They are lazy and hasstle-free. This Wednesday drizzling rain brought Autumn spirit. And I knew it was the day to do rain pictures with Irina and her bear and their matching yellow raincoats. It’s not really her bear, it’s special bear for pictures, but it becomes hers for the whole event, you can imagine her joy each time.
Irina’s rain boots were ready for quite a while now, I found them in Spring, when I had this pictures idea for the first time. Old ones were too small, so why not yellow? My favorite color.
The bear was waiting to wear his rain jacket for a long time too, everyone was happy, everything came together today. It’s always like this for me, some idea makes rounds in my head, turning over and over, until one day it comes in full color, and I can’t think of anything else, just have to go and do these pictures..
Irina was sure too happy, she was soaring above her carseat, then sprang out in the rain, laughing and skipping, hugging her bear and dancing.
She was sweating soon, took off her hood, swirled around with her hair flying in the rain, laughing all the time.
We had yellow umbrella too – but it didn’t seem right in the pictures, so I used it to cover my camera.
We spotted deep puddle, but splashed through only once – the bear became soaked through and Irina’s rain boots started making funny squeaky noises.. So we went home.
Oh yes, Ilya was with us too, sitting in his stroller quietly, all wrapped in rain cover, looking through the tiny window and talking to himself (maybe grumbling about dampness and rain and insane parents and sisters). Nevertheless he was perfect.
By the way, I have this tiny picture of russian flag just next to Contact, at the top – for my russian friends in my native language.
